Welcome!

First and foremost, it takes tremendous courage to seek help, so kudos to you for taking this important step! I’m Natalie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#138274) and the CEO and Founder of Empathetic Insights. I offer in-person sessions in California and virtual sessions for clients in both California and Florida. My goal is to create a safe space for you to explore your emotions and relationships, fostering healing and growth in a supportive environment.

I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, particularly for those who feel “stuck” or “lost” in life. I often incorporate humor into our sessions because sometimes the most therapeutic thing we can do is share a laugh amidst life’s challenges. Together, we will create a safe and comfortable space to explore behavioral patterns, communication styles, past trauma, intrusive thoughts, and coping strategies that may be affecting your well-being.

By understanding what hinders your sense of wellness, we can collaboratively identify goals that help you create and maintain a fulfilling life. My extensive background in treatment and commitment to personalized care empower you to build resilience and work toward achieving your personal goals.

I began my mental health career as a behavioral therapist, providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy in both school and home settings for families and children with autism and intellectual disabilities. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, in 2018, followed by a master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brandman University in 2021.

During my practicum in 2019, I completed over 3,000 clinical hours at the Family Service Agency of Burbank, where I provided individual therapy and crisis intervention for youth diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and PTSD. I then advanced to the role of Primary Therapist and later Program Manager at Resilience Treatment Center and Restorative Residential, a program offering partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and residential treatment.

Most recently, I served as the Program Director at California OnTrack, a Coordinated Specialty Care Program for Thought Disorders. In this role, I collaborated closely with the medical and clinical directors to develop foundational materials for Intensive Coordinated Specialty Care. Additionally, I worked with Transform Therapy Services, where I built my practice, deepened my knowledge of trauma, and received training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.

I am a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) professional with extensive experience addressing behavioral issues, psychosis, substance abuse, relationship and family conflict, personality disorders, life transitions, as well as anxiety and trauma-related disorders. I have also received training in Multidimensional Assessments from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). My eclectic therapeutic approach incorporates various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Metacognitive Training for Psychosis (MCT), and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

I provide in person sessions in California and virtual sessions in California and Florida. I am dedicated to fostering personal resilience through the therapeutic process.
