Welcome!
First and foremost, it takes tremendous courage to seek help, so kudos to you for taking this important step! I’m Natalie, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California, Colorado, and virtually in Florida. I am also the CEO and Founder of Empathetic Insights. I offer in-person sessions in California and virtual sessions for clients in California, Colorado, and Florida. My goal is to create a safe space for you to explore your emotions and relationships, fostering healing and growth in a supportive environment.
I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, particularly for those who feel “stuck” or “lost” in life. I often incorporate humor into our sessions because sometimes the most therapeutic thing we can do is share a laugh amidst life’s challenges. Together, we will create a safe and comfortable space to explore behavioral patterns, communication styles, past trauma, intrusive thoughts, and coping strategies that may be affecting your well-being.
By understanding what hinders your sense of wellness, we can collaboratively identify goals that help you create and maintain a fulfilling life. My extensive background in treatment and commitment to personalized care empower you to build resilience and work toward achieving your personal goals.
Natalie began her mental health career as a Behavioral Therapist, providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy in both school and home settings for children with autism and intellectual disabilities. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge in 2018, followed by a master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brandman University in 2021.
Natalie worked at the Family Service Agency of Burbank both before and after graduate school, offering individual therapy and crisis intervention to youth navigating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and PTSD. She later advanced to Primary Therapist and then Program Manager at Resilience Treatment Center and Restorative Residential, where she provided care across partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and residential levels of treatment.
Before transitioning into private practice full time, Natalie served as the Program Director at California OnTrack, a Coordinated Specialty Care program for thought disorders. In collaboration with the medical and clinical directors, she helped develop foundational materials for Intensive Coordinated Specialty Care. She also worked with Transform Therapy Services, where she deepened her trauma expertise, expanded her EMDR practice, and received training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Additionally, Natalie served as the Clinical Director for a detox and residential substance use program, strengthening her knowledge of addiction treatment and recovery systems.
Natalie has completed over the 3,000 clinical hours required for licensure. She is trained by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) in Module 1 – Multidimensional Assessments and is a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) Professional. She has extensive experience addressing behavioral challenges, psychosis, substance use, personality disorders, relationship and family conflict, life transitions, and trauma- and anxiety-related disorders. Her eclectic, trauma-informed approach integrates multiple modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, ABA, ACT, Metacognitive Training for Psychosis (MCT), and KAP.
Natalie is passionate about fostering resilience, emotional healing, and meaningful change. She provides a grounded, relational, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients can feel deeply understood and supported.
